Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer passionate about marine systems and sustainable maritime technology? Our growing client seeks a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong marine or heavy industry background. Our client develops advanced, environmentally conscious solutions for the maritime industry.

About the Role:

This pivotal role involves managing all electrical system aspects of complex marine construction, repair, and conversion projects, from concept to completion. You will ensure technical excellence and adherence to industry standards. Your comprehensive understanding of marine electrical standards and practical experience with shipboard systems are crucial. If you don’t have marine electrical experience, a strong heavy industry background designing diesel-electric systems or power generation or automation would be of interest.

Key Responsibilities & Opportunities:

· Design sophisticated marine electrical systems, emphasizing robust and efficient power generation and distribution networks. This includes lighting, automation, and communication systems.

· Drive Innovation: Conduct advanced marine electrical analyses for groundbreaking projects involving cutting-edge propulsion, energy management, and automation solutions.

· Project Leadership: Manage engineering projects autonomously, overseeing personnel, budgets, schedules, and technical progress.

· Quality Assurance: Review drawings, specifications, analyses, and calculations for conformance with client requirements, regulatory standards (ABS, RINA, DNV, USCG), and industry benchmarks (IEEE, IEC).

· Client & Vendor Interaction: Engage directly with clients and approve vendor documentation to ensure quality and compliance.

· Future-Focused: Analyze emerging technologies and conduct competitive analyses to maintain our firm's leading edge.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering

· At least eight to ten (6-10) years of relevant work experience
