Controls Engineering Manager

What You'll Do:

  • Lead & Innovate: Mentor a high-performing team, drive strategic project planning, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across 5-12 concurrent projects.
  • Own the Vision: Spearhead the design and delivery of sophisticated industrial automation systems from concept to commissioning, overseeing budgets, schedules, and risk.
  • Master the Tech: Design, troubleshoot, and deploy advanced control programs for custom equipment (PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, robotics), collaborating with clients on detailed control drawings and ensuring top-tier engineering best practices.
  • Build Relationships & Grow the Business: Be the primary technical contact for key clients, direct your team to identify and cultivate new business opportunities to expand our service offerings, and build lasting partnerships, expertly navigating complex conversations.

What You'll Bring:

  • 8+ years of PLC programming experience (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley required; Siemens a plus).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D modeling.
  • Expertise in electrical panel design, device layout, and industrial communication networks.
  • Deep knowledge of industrial manufacturing systems and controls in process-driven environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and engineering teams, with strong project estimation, financial oversight, and time management skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree, License, or equivalent long-term experience in Controls or Electrical Engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
